SAE Raises $133,080 for THON

Our active brothers made us incredibly proud once again this year at the 45th Penn State Dance Marathon. The total for THON 2017 was an amazing $10,045,478.44. SAE raised a total of $133,080 with our partner sorority, finishing in the top 10 highest amounts among the Greek organizations.

Brothers Nick Piccolo, Connor Riddle and Mike Sunyak danced on behalf of SAE. Connor—whose life was forever changed by the loss of his father to pancreatic cancer a few years ago, and then by his 14-year-old cousin’s diagnosis with leukemia just a month later—recalled how honored he felt when he learned that he had been chosen to dance.

“Cancer has played a major role in my life,” he said. “Words could not express the pride that ran through me, knowing that I would be out there dancing with the support of my brothers, the people who have given me the best four years of my life.”

Thank you to our three dancers and to all of our THON participants for representing SAE so well this year.
